Microsoft continues to expand the availability of its Copilot AI assistant across Windows 11 applications. This time, a dedicated Copilot button has been added to the Paint graphics editor, allowing users to quickly access AI-powered features within the app.
Clicking the Copilot button in Paint opens a compact menu featuring tools based on generative AI algorithms, including Cocreator, Image Creator, and Generative Erase. This addition aligns with Microsoft’s broader efforts to integrate AI into various aspects of the Windows experience, from the taskbar to hardware keyboards.
AI Features in Paint
Microsoft has been actively enhancing Paint with AI-driven capabilities. In late 2023, the Cocreator feature, powered by the DALL-E algorithm, was introduced. Since then, several more AI tools have been added, all of which will now be conveniently accessible through the Copilot menu.
The latest update also improves AI search functionality, enabling users to search for images stored in the cloud using natural language commands. Previously, this feature was limited to local files, marking a significant improvement in usability.
Availability and Updates
The new Copilot button is part of an update that began rolling out this week for Windows Insider Preview participants in the Dev and Canary channels, notes NIX Solutions. Microsoft continues to refine AI integration across its ecosystem, and we’ll keep you updated as more enhancements become available.
