NIX Solutions: New Telegram Features in Beta

In the latest beta version of the messenger, features aimed at improving the user experience were discovered and are being prepared for launch. The Telegram channel “Durov’s Code” spoke in detail about the upcoming changes, which include updates to voice messages, image quality options, and new communication formats with Telegram channels.

According to the source, one of the upcoming features is the ability to trim voice messages. This addition will make it easier to edit recordings before sending. To use this function, users will simply need to swipe up and press pause during the recording process.

New Image Quality Settings

Another change in the beta version is the ability to select the quality of images sent in chats. Users will soon be able to choose between SD (with a high degree of compression, as is currently the case) or HD. When HD is selected, the image will be sent as a preview rather than as a file, offering a more convenient and visually appealing format. This approach is already familiar to WhatsApp users and is expected to be well-received by Telegram’s audience.

Separate Chats for Channel Suggestions

Finally, Telegram is introducing a new format for interacting with channels. The previously reported “suggestion” feature, first mentioned back in May, will now exist as a separate full-fledged chat between users and Telegram channels. Even anonymous channels will be able to send messages. Users and channels will be able to exchange not only text but also media files, and message status indicators will be visible, adds NIX Solutions.

Importantly, channel owners will be given the option to charge for these messages. If a message is monetized, Telegram will take a 15% commission from the payment. This creates new opportunities for content creators and channel administrators to interact more directly—and profitably—with their audiences.

These updates suggest a continued focus on user engagement and monetization tools within the platform. While the exact release dates are not yet confirmed, we’ll keep you updated as more integrations become available.
